Posing is important to a bodybuilding contest prep as working out, eating, cardio and sleep, they all count. You don not lose points for poor posing and your not judged on posing, but not being able to pose correctly and hiding strong body parts on stage, can and will hurt your placings.
It never fails there is always one dude on stage that is looking around at the
other competitors to see how he should be posing when called out for a side chest, or a front double biceps pose. Only to see that they are not getting the most out of their physique.
